The Royal Visit has been designed by Mr Stuart Devlin, who was granted the Royal Warrant of Appointment as Goldsmith and Jeweller to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and is personally regarded as one of the best designs to come out the the mint in recent years.
The Royal Birthday coin symbolises the strong link between the United Kingdom and Australia in celebrating Her Majesty's 80th birthday and is presented in a regally coloured card.
This release proved popular with collectors selling out very quickly from the mint, although probably most went to the Ebay speculators.
