At the heart of this magnificent series are five 2003 Australian Kookaburra coins struck from two ounces of 99.9% pure silver in specimen quality. Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, each coin features a striking depiction of a kookaburra, as well as a coloured privy mark representation of a service medal awarded to personnel who served their country. The series also includes miniature replicas of the five service medals and five medallions struck from one ounce of 99.9% pure silver.
