This celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the song 'Waltzing Matilda' written by Andrew "Banjo" Paterson in western Queensland during January 1895 at old Dagworth Station.
Banjo has immortalized the Australian spirit in a song that for what ever reason has been embraced by the nation as typically Australian.
Although the greater percentage of Australians had, or may still have, no idea what the song really meant or why it was written, they could still identify with the ethos of a fair go.
